For the first time collected on record: the hip-shakin' songs of Dorothy Labostrie! Dorothy stalked the 1950s New Orleans music scene at night and delivered her songs during the day to Cosimo's studio where singers like Johnny Adams, Irma Thomas and Little Richard recorded them. She wrote a string of R&B hits and hit the big time with Tutti Frutti before vanishing altogether from the scene after a car accident. Together with my favorite musicians I've reworked some of her greatest works...
